Airport Youth Art and Design Competition 2022

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Corpus Christi International Airport, Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation Department, Corpus Christi Arts and Culture Commission and Friends of Corpus Christi Public Libraries are sponsoring the Art and design competition for young people to celebrate National Inspire Your Heart with Art 2022.

Youth in grades 6-12 are invited to create an artwork inspired by the theme, “Where in the world (or beyond!) would you go if you could go anywhere?”

Artists and designers should submit a digital image of their work to the Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation – Arts & Culture Office, [email protected], with “AIRPORT ART CONTEST” in the email subject line and with STUDENT NAME, SCHOOL, and GRADE in the message portion of the email.

The DEADLINE for submitting applications is Monday, February 28, 2022 at midnight.

A selection committee made up of representatives from the airport board, the arts and culture committee and the library board will award prizes for first, second and third place in each grade level. The original artwork of all first place winners will be displayed on a gallery wall at Corpus Christi International Airport.
