BANI Builders Parade will be around the lakes | Chroniclers

Q. Wow! I recently went to the Northeast Indiana Builders Association Facebook page and saw where there would be a builders parade this year. My sisters and I always look forward to visiting local homes by local builders in the past as much for a fun day around the lakes. This year is special for us as my husband and I are planning to build next year and have started looking at our designer and builder options. I went to buildneindiana.com and couldn’t find where to find any books or if there was a cost this year. Do you have more information? – Sally of Steuben County

A. Yes, everyone involved with the Builders Association of Northeast Indiana and visitors are excited to have a big builders’ parade scheduled for September 17th, 18th and 19th this year.

Five incredible houses are in this year’s parade. These are houses that were built by some of the leading builders and designers. They represent the styles and techniques of today’s home with up-to-date materials and products. I believe all the houses are custom built for the clients, so these are houses that are inhabited.

All of the homes are within a small radius around Steuben County and most are on some of the area’s most beautiful lakes, such as James Lake, Crooked Lake, Gage Lake, and East Long Lake in Fremont.

Books can be purchased for $ 10 at any branch and several businesses in and around Angola, our office on Harcourt Road, and local showrooms like Wayside Furniture. Look for brands that say the books are available.

The locations of the houses are on the flyer which can be viewed on the Builders Association Facebook page and be sure to like it. Locations can also be viewed on the flyer at buildneindiana.com.

Once inside the houses, you will find the distinctive directional signs of the Builders’ Parade that will lead you there. Everyone should go out and enjoy a nice walk around the lakes and visit some great homes.
