HOLLAND – Holland is home to a plethora of hotels, but lovers of the great outdoors will be happy to know that the lakeside is also home to a series of campgrounds.
Whether you prefer cabins, tents, or RVs, the greater Holland area has options — and many of them are within walking distance of Holland State Park.
Here are six campgrounds to consider this summer:

Families can enjoy two play structures, a volleyball court and horseshoe pit, as well as a small beach on Lake Macatawa across from the campground entrance. Not to mention the site’s walking distance to Holland State Park.
Modern Beach Campground

Visitors will register at the same address as Lake Macatawa Campground, but Modern Beach Campground is a very different experience. Modern Beach Campground is located just above the Lake Michigan Dune in Holland State Park. The campground has just under 100 sites, all paved.
