Homebuilder Helps Milton Keynes Students Shine Walk to School – MKFM 106.3FM

Students at Lavendon School in Milton Keynes received a donation of reflective bag tags to help them shine brightly on their way to school for Walk to School month last month.

International School Walk Month takes place every October and was created to raise awareness of the importance of getting children active by walking or jogging to school every day.

Home builder David Wilson Homes gave the school 160 high-visibility bag tags for his students to wear when walking, biking or scootering to school, ensuring they can be easily seen on the roads as the dark nights approach.

Lisa Watson, Principal of Lavendon School, said, “Many of our young students commute to and from school and their safety while doing this is extremely important to us.

“This is why we are truly grateful to David Wilson Homes for their donation of high visibility bag tags. We were delighted to accept the bags and our students will be using them throughout October and into the future.

The Lavendon School is located near the home builder’s Lavendon Fields development on White Canons Drive, and the donation of high visibility bag tags is another part of David Wilson Homes’ outreach to the local community.

In what has been a difficult time for schools across the country due to the pandemic, the lead developer is more committed than ever to providing support during Walk to School Month and beyond.
