Our small office is growing rapidly and we are looking to expand our team. We are currently looking for Junior architectural designers. This candidate must have exceptional design ability and be in the process of becoming an architect (AXP & ARE). We are looking for someone who can return a full set of construction documents. Using Revit is a bonus. We also expect the candidate to be ready to orchestrate the construction on the ground. This professional will communicate with team members, clients and city officials in an exciting and fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of a fun and energetic team. Search for independent candidates wishing to experience all phases of the design.

Ideal candidates will meet the following:

  • Graduated from a 4 or 5 year NAAB accredited school of architecture
  • Strong skills in Revit, AutoCAD, 3D Studio Max and Adobe
  • Strong skills in the production and management of construction drawings from start to finish
  • Excellent problem solver and independent thinker with good listening skills and strong following
  • Strong verbal and graphic communication, organizational and collaborative skills
  • Motivated; ability to work independently and in a team environment to coordinate with other design professionals
  • Commitment to their own professional development as an architect
  • Commitment to working in and with ethnically diverse teams
  • Bonus: Experience working in the construction phases of projects with owners and general contractors

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Generation of construction documents for residential and commercial buildings with Revit Architecture
  • Write and develop design proposals / schematic designs
  • Visits to the project site / construction sites
  • Responsible for the development and coordination of drawings and specifications, including: program compliance, code and agency compliance, schedule commitments and product research
  • Coordination and meetings with consultants, contractors, clients and city representatives to complete the work in an orderly and timely manner
  • Provide design and construction schedule information – communicate technical implications of design decisions
  • Maintain the organization of existing and new projects
  • Provide support for all tasks necessary for the success of the project

Employment:
This position is part-time. Over 20 hours / week, typical working hours will be 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday to Friday. Compensation will be discussed during the interview.
