A team of ten employees from Bellway’s Gallway division completed the Pretty Muddy 5k course on Saturday 18 September, raising £ 3,120 for Cancer Research UK so far.
The Pretty Muddy event took place at Bute Park in Cardiff, near the Bellway divisional office in St Mellons, with the course being part of the charity’s Race for Life initiative.
The team faced a series of obstacles, including the Spider’s Web and the Wall of Fame, before sliding down the mud slide to finish.
Money raised at the Pretty Muddy event will go directly to Cancer Research UK, which is the charity nominated by the home builder, and follows the England Division Charity Walk in Wales which raised over £ 5,000 earlier this summer.
Carly Maidment, Sales Manager at Bellway Wales, said: “Tackling the Pretty Muddy course was a great way to highlight the important work being done by Cancer Research UK, not only in the fight against cancer, but also in the organization of events that bring people together to raise funds. and awareness.
“We are proud to have been able to support our charity with an event that was held right on our doorstep. Being active in the community is really important to us and we are committed to supporting the association in any way we can.
“The weather was really hot and it definitely tested us! Fortunately, we all managed to complete the course on time and we would like to thank everyone who supported our efforts by donating. “
